Product hype video

While working as a visual designer on the product team for a new application, I took responsibility for the promotional communication strategy.
First, I created a logo and branding style to give the application a unique identity within the company’s brand guidelines.
I also created a promotional video to spread the word about the new tool. The video garnered excitement for the app’s release and boosted traffic to its website.
Achieving stakeholder alignment
I facilitated a brainstorming session to align our stakeholders on the intended message for the video. We decided on a “hype video” to spread the word about our product and give a high-level preview into its features.
Using the findings from this session, I wrote a script and built a storyboard. I worked closely with our stakeholder team to iterate and refine both.

The findings from my stakeholder brainstorming session were also useful in the branding work I did for the tool. Using the company’s brand guidelines, I designed an app icon and branding style to create a unique identity.
I used this branding to create graphics for the application’s website, as well as the promotional video.
