Aetna Undergraduate Writing in the Disciplines Honorable Mention

My essay titled “Make an Impression: Emotional Realism in the Works of Thomas Hardy and Virginia Woolf” explores how Hardy and Woolf diverge from traditional realism to uncover the emotional realities of individuals through exploratory literary conventions, like focalization and creative narration styles. It was recognized in the humanities division of Aetna’s 2020 Writing in the Disciplines Awards, and featured in the third annual Aetna Celebration of Student Writing.

CSS Animation Tutorial Video

As a member of AgencyX, the UConn Digital Media & Design student-run internal marketing team, I created a web design tutorial focusing on animating SVGs with simple CSS. The video was featured on various Digital Media & Design social media channels as part of the “DMD How To” tutorial series.

In August 2019, IBM hosted a Design Thinking workshop for Girls Who Code, a nonprofit organization that teaches young women computer science skills. I facilitated a group of students throughout the workshop, teaching them how to complete Design Thinking activities including As-Is Scenarios, Big Idea Vignettes, and more to promote rapid ideation, agile methodologies, and creativity.
